Kia ora, I've been part of the Waitaha youth work community for many years, and I'm passionate about seeing youth work valued and supported so it can make a real difference for rangatahi.
My experience spans youth work, teaching, training, and programme leadership across schools, community organisations, youth health, alternative education, residential services, mental health, and faith-based settings. Working across these different parts of the sector has given me a broad understanding of the realities of youth work and the different contexts in which people are supporting young people.
I am committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and I continue to reflect and act on what it means to lead and work as Tangata Tiriti. I value building relationships and creating spaces where people feel connected, supported, and able to share their knowledge and experience. I believe the strength of our youth sector comes from the people within it and the collective wisdom they bring.
